Property is a family home. It is in central Valletta. the house is 300 years old an d n ext to a Catholic church, so you are sure to experience some bell ringing. The house was built a few years after the city was built and it formed part of the convent taht belonged to the Church that is dedicated to St Dominic. When valletta was built, it was the order that no house should have a garden, but a little courtyard. In fact the room's window overlook the very small courtyard. the room is generally quiet since it does not over look the busy street. Close by is a rocky beach which is found in our Grand Harbour, which boasts beautiful bastions built during the Knight of Malta and also Forts which were the strongholds during those days. back to the room itself, it is a small room with new furniture and has a private bathroom a few steps away. It is found on the first floor.
My name is Juanita, I am 63 years old and retired. I live in this house with my son and my pets. Although I have a spanish name, I am Maltese. I was a Learning support teacher untiI retired 2 years ago. so i decided to rent this room to earn some extra money. My hobbies are crochet,quilting and cooking. i love animals and plants.
since the propety is 5 minutes away from the center, one finds loads of restaurants, bars, cafes, 2 public gardens and some interesting sites. the bus station is 15minutes away. 2 ferries that cross the 2 harbours, one to the famous 3 cities acoss Grand Harbour and the other Marsaamxetto harbour over to sliema. one finds a number of Catholic Churches, A Greek Orthodox, and st Paul's Anglican Cathedral. President's Palace is a stone throw away and the famous St John's Co Cathedral where one can admire the beautiful architecture of the said Cathedral which was built by the famous Architect La Parelli and the continued by the Maltese architect Gilormu Cassar. Inside the is the famous painting of the beheading of St John by Caravaggio. A must see.
