Established in 2012 by Chris Briffa, Valletta Vintage's collection grew from one small apartment to ten, each housed in buildings older than a hundred years and spread around the city of Valletta. The architect renovated the spaces with his renowned, elegant approach; subtly integrating the traditional with the contemporary.

SCALA is a set of five mid-century-style apartments nestled within a historic, honey-hued building, all sharing a beautiful terrace overlooking The Grand Harbour. Owned by Maltese architect Chris Briffa, each apartment has its own unique character, yet all share a Modernist charm, brought to life through local artwork and handpicked vintage furnishings. Fully self-catered, they offer both privacy and flexibility, while their central location means that lively cafés and restaurants are always just a short walk away.

All of Valletta is very accessible on foot. You can probably walk all around the peninsula’s ring road in less than an hour. We suggest you have a walk around on a Sunday or in the evenings, when all the hustle & bustle dies down, and get lost in its many steps & alleys, bastions & shores and enchanting architectural detailing.
