Abuharee Grand is located in Hithadhoo which is the capital of Addu Atoll. Hithadhoo is linked up to three other inhabitant islands as well as the International Airport at Gan Island by a 14 KM motorway. A PADI dive school facility for divers as Addu Atoll is internationally famous for its wreck dives, large manta rays, sharks, turtles and bigger fish in general. Namely, The British Loyalty, an oil tanker used to supply Gan, was torpedoed in 1944 by the German submarine U-183. The wreck lies in 33m of water with its port side about 16m below the surface; it has a good covering of soft corals. Turtles, trevally and many reef fish inhabit the encrusted decks, making it a fascinating place to dive. Sports’ fishing is also available customers can join local fisherman for a traditional Maldivian fishing experience. The main types of fish caught are skipjack Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, Giant Travellers, Snappers, Groupers, barracudas etc. Addu offers beautiful reefs for snorkeling with its warm waters which are safe for people of all ages. The reefs have a unique coral formation and abundant marine life. The reefs are easily accessible.
