You are staying in Vista Hermosa, a quiet, safe residential neighborhood that still puts you within easy reach of the best of Monterrey. One of the nicest surprises is how much is right on your doorstep: on the very same street you will find good restaurants and cafes, including Italian, fresh seafood and a lovely bakery, plus a craft brewery just a few minutes away that is popular with visitors. For shopping and a bite to eat, Galerias Monterrey, one of the largest malls in the city with major brands and a big food court, is only about five minutes away by car. San Pedro, the city's most upscale district and home to its finest restaurants and nightlife, along with the open-air Punto Valle town center, is around 10 minutes away. Parque Fundidora, a huge urban park with museums, lakes and walking paths, and the historic Barrio Antiguo, with its bars and lively night scene, are both about 15 minutes out. The downtown Macroplaza and the scenic Paseo Santa Lucia riverwalk are also well worth a visit.
