My wife Lena and I fell in love with Merida many years ago, we dreamt of having a home there some day. We are glad to say we have found our place and hope to be able to spend more time in Merida in the future. Until then, we are happy to share our home with guests like you who are ready to explore this vibrant and culturally diverse city.The name ''Wacah Chan'' derives from the Mayan language and means Ceiba tree. We have decided for this name as this is a sacred tree in Mayan culture and we are fortunate enough to have one in our own backyard. Apart from having a spiritual significance, it offers shade, protection as well as a home to a wide species of animals. In our Casita we want to offer just that: love, peace and connection.
