Our Mayan-style cabin is nestled in the heart of the low jungle in rural Yucatán. Wake up to the sounds of birds in a queen-size bed or a hammock under a palm-thatched roof.
Breakfast will be served inside the cabin or on the terrace. The cabin stays cool thanks to its double earth-filled walls and has a fan. It features a bathroom with a shower offering hot and cold water. The 2-hectare (5-acre) garden boasts a variety of trees, including bananas, citrus fruits, and local species. We also practice milpa farming, using traditional Mayan methods.
My family and I love welcoming guests to share this wonderful, exclusive space we've been creating for the past 10 years. We're happy to help you experience Mayan life and can offer advice on what to see off the beaten track in the area.
We're located halfway between Mérida and Chichen Itzá, both 45 minutes away by car or easily accessible by bus. Nearby hidden gems include the yellow city of Izamal, the cenotes of Homún, and the archaeological site of Aké. We can also give you tips on which abandoned haciendas to visit.
