The best professional decision I made was to come to Mexico in 1993. I love the country and its people, but their slowlyness, unpunctuality and informality in certain cases still bothers me sometimes, even after 25 years that I've been living here. I was born in Germany and finished my school career there. Then I went to Disney World in Orlando Florida for 1 year and worked there in the German Pavilion, then 2 years at Lufthansa in Frankfurt. Driven by wanderlust, I followed Mexico's call in 1993. I have been living in Cancun, Mexico, for 25 years now, still working part-time in hotels and living with my family partly in Germany and partly in Mexico. 19 years ago I started renting my first apartment in El Cuyo. We are the owners of these houses, are represented on site by our caretakers Magally and Remigia, and can be reached at any time via WhatsApp and email. In the competition for landlord of the year 2011 we got 3rd place, and in 2012 we even got 1st place. It is a lot of fun to pass on our many years of Yucatan and Mexico experience to our guests. We look forward to welcoming you at one of our rentals.

The Hacienda Antigua Villa is a cosy hideaway for everybody budget oriented that enjoys the real Mexico without the tourists. Hidden under coconut palm trees, you may relax in your hammock, watch the birds during the day and the stars at night, take a swim in the ocean that you have practically by yourself, or take mile long beach walks and collect seashells that have been washed up by the ocean current over night, or simply do nothing. The House is fully furnished and ready to be moved in at any time. The 800ft2 Villa has a Master bedroom with a Kingsize Bed, fully equipped kitchen, terrace, bathroom and living room. Service of chef and fishing or snorkel tours could be provided by the caretaker Remigia. Cancun Airport Transfers can be arranged as well as Kite Surfing lessons in El Cuyo.

Neighborhood info

El Cuyo is a laid back fishing village located on the beach in the northeastern tip of the Yucatan peninsula. The small sandy roads surrounded by coconut palm trees, give you a relaxing feeling of your true barefoot vacation. the locals are friendly and helpful, the village is very safe and only kite surfers , backpackers and some foreigners you can encounter there. Its like Cancun , 45 years ago before the tourists came.. Come and enjoy the authentic Mexico without the tourists!
