Tunich is located on the Jungle Side of the Beach Road in the Hotel Zone in Tulum. The Cabanas are directly across the street from a free public entrance to the beach. Once on the beach, you will have the option to put your towel down and enjoy the sun & sea or take a chair at our neighbours beach club situated on the beach. (10% discount on your purchase by mentioning that you are our guest.) There are many restaurants, beach clubs and shops located within a short bike or taxi from the property. Tulum Town is about a 10 minute drive from our property. All rooms feature free wifi, a private 3-piece bathroom and a patio space in front with chairs and/or a hammock. The rooms are basic & rustic as we try to offer a great, safe location at a fair price considering how expensive it is to rent a room on the beach road in Tulum these days. Potheads Restaurant is in front of the cabanas & serves all-day brunch from 7 am to 10 pm. Tunich Jungle Cabañas can help guests with arrangements for sightseeing and other activities including the Tulum ruins, cenotes or trips as requested.

I left my corporate life behind to take over Tunich and take in the unique vibes of Tulum. I have a a young family and we are thrilled that my kids get to see and experience so many different cultures, languages, and personalities in one place! I am so thankful that my core team has been with me for years and are focused on delivering the best possible experience when staying at Tunich.

Tunich is (in our minds!) a one-of-a-kind space... we aren't sure what to call it. A guest house? A hotel? A B&B? It shares elements of all of these accommodation types - the independence of a hotel, the price of a guest house and the personalized attention of a B&B. Ultimately we decided not to "label" it and instead just focus on bring a service orientation to a well-priced room in an amazing location. You can call it whatever you want. :)

Perhaps we are biased, but we feel that our location is one of our greatest assets! The hotel zone of Tulum is one long narrow road that goes for miles and miles. The trick is, there is only ONE way in and out. We are located near the access road which means it is much easier for guests to go and explore the town (close enough to bike) and the other "neighborhoods" along the beach road as well. Within immediate walking distance, there is a beautiful public beach (right across the road from our hotel), several restaurants, clothing & trinket shops, and a small convenience store for basic needs.

Please note that the hotel is in a busy neighborhood and there is a generator running from 10:30 AM to 10:30 PM. The generators and local businesses are quiet by 11 PM. (Electricity is available through the night via the use of batteries.)

The on-site restaurant opens from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm daily.

A continental breakfast is included in the rate and is served in the restaurant during regular operating hours.
