Pie de la Cuesta is located on the Barra de Coyuca, a 15km (10 mi) long stretch of land bordered by the pacific ocean on one side and a very calm lagoon on the other. The peaceful place has mostly residences on the sea-side and a fishermen village on the lagoon side.
