Fabulous hosts! They sit down with you when you first arrive to go over what you’ll have time to see and write up a little itinerary, if only everywhere did that! Was lovely meeting others that were staying, easy to meet people

Be prepared as this is basic accommodation. However, James and Brenda do everything to try and make the stay as nice as possible. Brenda is an excellent guide, but she is not available for all the tours, so you will have to book some with the Park...

Located near Mulu National Park, Mulu Village is the only traditional Berawan-style architecture longhouse made of ironwood beams and hardwood flooring—an open veranda with wooden pillars and a sloping roof. There are separate rooms for each family unit, with shared communal areas with seating and dining spaces for relaxation and socializing. Opportunities to experience life in the rainforest with its stunning views of the mountains and river. Mulu Village is near Mulu National Park and its many natural attractions. The property has an in-house licensed park guide for visits to the show caves. Other services are traditional meals prepared by the host family and laundry upon request. The property is also the campsite of the Royal Geographical Society Mulu expedition held in 1977 to 1978.
The owner, James Baya is none other than the great-grandson of the Chief Warrior Orang Kaya Temenggong Lawai of Long Patah. From the notorious head-hunting indigenous tribe to the now peaceful and fun-loving people. James will eagerly share many legendary and mystical stories of his ancestors and tribal practices.
Although Mulu is well known for its caves and pinnacle, do not miss out on the opportunity to be with the local tribe people called the Berawan. Staying with the Berawan and participating in our activities such as jungle shopping, forest camp stay next to the waterfall, or jungle farm stay for animal sightings which are not written in the guidebook. We customize your activities according to your time and interest to make your experience an exclusive lifetime memory.
