I’ve worked all over the world in hotels, restaurants, and lodges across Australia, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Europe, and beyond. I also lived in Maputo for 14 years, so Mozambique feels very much like home to me. I hold dual German and Australian nationality and have spent much of my life travelling, working, and exploring different cultures. One of my biggest passions is food and cooking — which is why the kitchen is exceptionally well equipped and thoughtfully fitted out. I’ve also travelled extensively across Africa by motorbike and know Mozambique and Maputo extremely well, from local culture and hidden gems to the best places to eat, explore, and experience everyday life here. I’m always happy to help guests with recommendations, local tips, or anything they may need to make their stay relaxed, comfortable, and memorable. And even if I’m occasionally travelling myself, I’m almost always reachable throughout your stay — and often even long after — to help with advice, recommendations, or anything else you may need.

Just around the corner is the well-known Buso restaurant, popular for its cold draft beer, relaxed atmosphere, and extensive menu. The location is also an ideal gateway for exploring the beautiful beaches north of Maputo, including Macaneta, with its endless dunes, relaxed beach bars, and small local eateries where you can sip an ice-cold 2M beer and enjoy authentic Mozambican coastal vibes. There are also two shopping malls within easy reach for groceries, restaurants, cafés, and everyday essentials, while the surrounding area remains calm, spacious, and ideal for relaxing after a day exploring the city.
