Company info

Kai-Oms backpackers history; In 1942 a Mr Schrader build a small workshop and horse stables,,,in 1949 with the big horse sickness all horses died. The stables was confirted into overnight rooms for farmers . In 1950 he build the big house In 1990 Mr Schrader sold the property to the first ever private school started in Namibia.......... Moria private school...the house became girls hostel and the conferted horsestable rooms the boys hostel..the small workshop became the study room and dining room..(today the office building) 1979 the private school sold it to Dr Keith Leggit from Australia...it became the research centre for elaphant and giraffe. 2008 we the new owners bought it and we started the backpackers. KAI OMS backpackers means. "Big 🏠" it is warm and welcoming with lots of animals Deon and Jaenny welcomes you to this historical place in Outjo

Neighborhood info

Outjo museum is 200 meter from Kai oms backpackers walking distance.. We are the gateway to Etosha National park that is only 55 minutes drive away..we are 2 and a half hour drive from Twyfelfontein and 40 minutes drive from the rock finger
