No. 8 Molensicht is a fully equipped cozy, luxury self-catering apartment situated in the most sought after location in Swakopmund. It is a mere 50 meters from the water's edge and close to the main bathing beach area, commonly known as Palm Beach, with 180 degree view of the Atlantic Ocean. It is within easy walking distance from the town center with all its amenities - cafes, restaurants, pubs, post office and shops. The apartment situate at street level, consists of 2 bedrooms, two bathrooms, one with a bath, shower and toilet and the other with a shower, toilet, washing machine and tumble dryer. The fully equipped open plan kitchen has a dishwasher and microwave for your convenience. The lounge/dining room is tastefully decorated and has sliding doors opening onto a large terrace with table and chairs, two sun loungers and a gas barbeque, to enjoy magnificent lazy warm days in the sun. The apartment is secure, with burglar bars, external beams and fully alarmed with 24 hour armed response. There are 2 TV's with full DSTV bouquet and unlimited wireless ADSL (Wi Fi). There is under roof parking for one vehicle. The apartment and parking is on one level.

We are retired and the love for nature and outdoor activities took us on unforgettable trips. As a keen photographer and adventurer one of the highlights was going on a guided, self-drive 4x4 tour, for 5 days. The route from the south, through the Namib Naukluft Park, back to Swakopmund. Entering the Park, there is no road only a track to follow. Here you can test your photographic skills by embracing the pretty picture you see. Wide open spaces, scattered white pans with slowly moving antelope. Plains of waving grass with walls of burnt orange dunes in between and far behind, blue and purple mountains. After a day's travel you get to the dune belt which you must cross to get to the coast. Here mankind could experience, at its best, the difficulty in trying to challenge the powers of nature. Nothing is more transitory than the contour of the dunes, as they reshape with every strong wind. The closer you get to the coast you start negotiating steep dunes and searching for a passage through 60 to 80m high treacherous dunes. After crossing the dune field you follow the coast line to Sandwich Harbour. To describe my experience, beauty seen with eyes that will never lose their sight....

At the coast of Namibia you need time to fully experience all there is to see and do. Swakopmund has its own charm with century-old German architecture that lures visitors into wondering about its streets to explore restaurants, coffee and curio shops. A wide variety of activities, that can be combined, offers a full spectrum of adventure. Just to mention a few, tandem sky diving, quad biking in the dunes, scenic flights, dolphin cruises, camel rides or a Sandwich Harbour 4x4 tour. Sandwich Harbour is a natural lagoon approximately 55 km south of Walvis Bay and one of the most important wetland areas in Southern Africa. The entire area with its towering majestic dunes that meet the sea is a marine reserve. Well known as a good spot for angling. From Molensicht you can go for long walks on the promenade along the sea shore and visit the museum where you will find interesting history of our town. Just next to the museum are a few restaurants, including the beautiful rebuilt Strand Hotel. Further on visit our famous jetty with its oyster bar and don't miss to pop in at The Tug restaurant where you can enjoy a tasty seafood meal.
