We're a Canadian couple who moved to Nicaragua in 2016 and bought a house on one of our favourite beaches: El Transito!
Now we live in paradise and we want to share it with travellers from around the world.
We live on site with our dog Lenny and 2 cats, Izzy and Peggy. We like to give our guests privacy but are here for you to suggest hidden tide pools, places to eat, onward travel recommendations, transportation options, etc.
Property info
Casa Todo Bueno is a unique and tranquil guesthouse just a minute from El Transito beach in the vacation bay. As we are just a 10 minute walk down to the main village, you get a peaceful getaway while still being close to restaurants, shops, and 2 different surf breaks. You have access to various outdoor lounge areas including, sofa, hammocks and sun loungers, a kitchen shared with just 1 other room, as well as a splah pool to cool off. Each room is equipped with a fan and A/C is available for an additional fee.
Neighborhood info
El Transito is a small traditional fishing village. You'll see fishing boats coming and going throughout the day, which means we often have wonderful fresh seafood available in town.
El Transito is also a top-notch surf destination, with consistent offshore winds and good swell most of the year. Board rentals and lessons are available nearby.
The locals are friendly, especially the playful and curious children.
There are several local restaurants and cafes offering a variety of different cuisines and a decent selection of vegetarian options.
The beach is beautiful with a sandy bottom and beautiful rock formations unique to the area. El Transito is still a fairly undiscovered beach which means uncrowded surf breaks and serene beachwalks were you just might be the only ones on the beach!
There are also great opportunities to volunteer and make a positive impact on the community .
