Situated in a beautiful part of Holland, the island of Goeree-Overflakkee, lies our B&B. You can stay with us and enjoy the peace and quiet of this lovely location. The Bed & Breakfast lies on a quiet country road near the edge of the village of Sommelsdijk: one of Goeree-Overflakkee’s pearls. The rooms each have a separate entry, their own luxurious bathroom and a fully furnished kitchen with an induction cooktop.Each room has access to a 15m2 private terrace. Apart from this there is a communal terrace of 50m2. Every room has been set up spaciously, ranging from 30 to 35 m2, and has its distinctive atmosphere. “A quiet breakfast is a splendid start of the day” is our mantra. That is why you are not bound to specific breakfast times. Your breakfast is placed in the refrigerator, ready for you to decide for yourself at what time you want to bake your buns or boil your eggs. Breakfast is a mix of orange juice, cottage cheese, eggs, buns, regional and seasonal products. We love babies and children, but unfortunately our B&B is not suitable for this target group.

Sit on your own terrace and enjoy the hares and the green woodpecker. Sleep well and enjoy the silence. Within walking distance you are in the pleasant center with eateries and cafes. What we really liked were the nicely furnished room and bathroom, a cozy private terrace off your room and the kitchen with induction hobs and fridge. You can have breakfast in your own room or on the terrace. A well-stocked fridge with breakfast items is provided, so you can make your own breakfast at any time. Highly recommended.

Goeree-Overflakkee has wide, milelong, sandy beaches. Goeree-Overflakkee’s coastal area and its beaches have been proclaimed the cleanest of Holland. Here, you can enjoy a pleasurable walk along the beach, participate in one of the activities or romantically watch the sun set into the North Sea. B&B Buutegeweun is situated at the edge of the village of Sommelsdijk. The rural road leading to it forms an immediate invitation for cycling as it lies between bicycle junctions 75 and 76! The polders and dikes are favourites among cyclists as well. There are many nature reserves where flamingos, does, wild Fjord horses, foxes, and beavers can be spotted. Take a walk along the ‘laarzenpad’ (you’d need boots to walk there, hence the name), jump on the Waterbus to sail along Stellendam, Hellevoetsluis, and Tiengemeten. The island annually attracts loads of tourists with its numerous possibilities of water sports.
