"Equipment" was built in 1939 and completely renovated in 2017. The house is energy neutral. It is a semi-detached house and is ideally located in the village of Lauwerzijl, where it is only 10 minutes by car to get to the Lauwersmeer, where you can walk, swim or sail in the beautiful nature. Lauwerzijl is a fruit village with 200 inhabitants and 66 houses and a number of fruit trees, there are no shops, but there is a village house where chips can be eaten or bought on Saturdays. You can get potatoes, vegetables and eggs from farmer Wierenga in our village. You rent the entire house. On the upper floor are 3 bedrooms. One room with a double bed and two with a single bed. The bathroom with toilet is located on the ground floor. Fresh bed linen and the beds already made and clean towels are provided. Bathrobes are available. The living room has SmartTV and a fully equipped kitchen. The dining room opens onto a terrace. The house is located on the river Lauwers. Coffee and tea are standard. There is a storage room where you can store bicycles. There is a possibility to rent a boat, it is ready at your stay. Bicycles can be rented on request. Breakfast is not standard and can be requested.

We are Sietse and Ina, your host / wife in Bed & Breakfast Uitrust. We live in Lauwerzijl next to the B&B. In 2018 we started Bed and Breakfast Uitrust. In the winter of 2017 we have purchased the adjacent house from 1939 and have completely renovated it. The renovation is largely carried out with used or 2nd hand materials. This is called cicular building. The house is completely energy neutral, no gas, an air heat pump and solar panels. The house is rented in its entirety and is located on the water "de Lauwers", one of the oldest rivers in the Netherlands. Lauwerzijl is located on the edge of the Lauwersmeer and in one of the most beautiful areas of the Netherlands. Lauwerzijl has been renamed Fruitdorp Lauwerzijl because there are fruit trees in the entire village. These are maintained jointly by the residents. The area is ideal for beautiful trips by bike, walking and by boat. You can bring your own bicycle and store it in the shed. But you can also rent a bike from us. Walking and cycling maps are available in the bed and breakfast. The Lauwersmeer National Park is a unique park that offers a range of opportunities for wonderful recreation. Zoutkamp is 3 kilometers away, Zoutkamp is a picturesque village at the very top of the Netherlands in the municipality of De Marne, located at the foot of the Lauwersmeer National Park. It is a village with a close heart and rich history. Zoutkamp used to be a tactically important defense ramp, nowadays the fishing village is mainly known for its Dutch shrimp and fishing.
