Extraordinary vacation rental location within the forests of Hanseatic city Harderwijk, what we actually could name "the back garden of Amsterdam". Ideal accommodation for families and groups as an attractive alternative to a hotel stay. The central location on the Veluwe makes the park a perfect starting point for your best holiday with your partner, family and/or friends! Discover the beautiful nature and the many cultural and culinary hotspots in the area while walking or cycling. Of course, water sports enthusiasts will also find something they like; the Veluwemeer is only 2 km (as the crow flies) away. Strand Horst and Strandeiland (Citybeach) Harderwijk are the perfect places to enjoy the water and to learn kite surfing, windsurfing, sailing or to experience the popular stand-up paddling. Come and visit us! You are more than welcome.

Harderwijk has a rich history that you will see anywhere in the city. Large parts of the city wall are still standing, just like the old university buildings, the monastery, and some wonderful houses of prominent merchants. Many old buildings have been assigned as shops, restaurants, galleries, or residential complexes these days. There are also plenty of fishing boats in the harbor, a reminder of the fishing history of Harderwijk. Less than ten minutes outside the city of Harderwijk you will find a different world: the Veluwe, a wide world of green and calm. Woods, heaths, and sand drifts form a counterbalance to the hustle and bustle of the city. There you find the Harderwijker forest but also the Beekhuizerzand, a sand drift with its unique flora and fauna. The countryside around the Hierdense beek (brook) is impressive, as is the rustic village of Hierden with beautiful farms and country estates such as The Essenburgh.
