In terms of accommodations, two log cabins and five rental caravans can be booked at the campsite, sleeping from 2 to 4 people. They are simple accommodations. The beds have a bottom sheet and pillow. You must bring your own bed linen. For the log cabins it is possible to rent a duvet with duvet linen. You pay the tourist tax on location (1 euro per person, per night). There is a cooking facility in the log cabins, as well as in two of the five rental caravans.

In the middle of the village of Pieterburen, just a stone's throw from the Wadden Sea, lies the small, cozy campsite Boetn Toen. He is cared for by hospitable volunteers who add a warm heart to the (Dutch) Shallows. Light, plenty of space and tranquility, beautiful views and wonderful air characterize our environment, where all sorts of things can be done: mudflat hiking, walking, canoeing or cycling. But there is also a lot to discover here, culturally and historically, such as special gardens, museums, castles and old mills. At the campsite there are hiker's cabins and sleeping places in caravans, but of course you are also welcome with your own tent, caravan or motorhome.

Neighborhood info

Pieterburen is a small, cozy village a stone's throw from the Wadden Sea and is known for mudflat walking. You really don't want to miss that. Special adventure tours for children, salt marshes and nature and educational tours are also organized nearby. In recent years, a Waddenmarkt has invariably been held in the village on Sunday afternoons. For the active, there are also beautiful walking, cycling and canoe routes that visit Pieterburen. We call it Pieterpad, Pronkjewailpad, Fietserspad, Kiek over Diek and North Sea Cycle. The village has several eateries, a wellness center, the seal center, the tea museum, the visitor center Wadden Coast, a large playground and the windmill De Vier Winden.
