Welcome to Casa Koudekerke: a place to feel at home while you’re on vacation. Our garden cottage is located two kilometers from the coast of Zeeland, and near the cities of Middelburg and Vlissingen. The holiday house in our garden is a cozy accommodation for those seeking privacy and tranquility. The studio has a private bathroom with shower and toilet, kitchen, a small sitting area, private terrace and a ‘cupboardbed’ (1.40 meters wide). There is a loft, which you can reach by the stairs. The loft has a double bed (1,40 meters wide). The interior is almost completely decorated with wood and has a Scandinavian touch. The cottage sleeps two adults and one or two kids.

We are De Ridder family. Both born and raised in Zeeland. We both attended a time outside the province. And we both did not expect to come back this soon. But we found each other and the house of our dreams in Koudekerke. We now live there with our two children. We would like to share our home with others. Meeting new people and learning about other cultures is what we love. We are also addicted to travelling ourselves: city trips, long-distance travels and cycling holidays. We enjoy local food and preferably would like to stay with locals. We experienced lots of hospitality and kindness all over the world. This is what we want to offer our guests. We hope to meet you in Casa Koudekerke!

Our house is just a few hundred metres from the village square in Koudekerke. The village is ideally situated between Middelburg (3 kilometers), Vlissingen( 3 km) and the beach (2 km). Within a few minutes you find yourself in the fields, and you will have a view on the dunes! Walcheren is ideal to explore by bicycle. You will have no problem to stay away from the main roads and enjoy polders, dunes and the beach. Casa Koudekerke is close to a regional cycling network and to the national cycling routes LF1 and LF13. We have different maps in our B&B, allowing you to plan your own route. You can walk to the dunes of Dishoek in a little more than twenty minutes. From there, you can make beautiful beach walks towards Zoutelande and Vlissingen. The historic center of Middelburg is definitely worth a visit. Stroll through narrow alleys, visit the medieval abbey or take a boat trip on the canals. On Thursday, there’s a market on the market square and in the summer there are regular antique markets in the city. The boulevard of Vlissingen and the centre of Middelburg are less than ten minutes away. A little further you will find lively villages such as Domburg, Zoutelande and Veere.
