Cozy Cottage is a small chalet, with its own terrace and garden, bordering a large public park just outside Utrecht and looking out over the river De Kromme Rijn. You can work, relax, watch NETFLIX, use wifi, cook, make music, go jogging or sightseeing. The cottage has an air conditioner, allowing for the right temperature in summer/winter. Parking space is available (extra fee). Pets are welcome (extra fee). Bikes are available (extra fee) You can rent our canoe for two persons (extra fee) for a morning/afternoon. There is a public swimming pool almost next door (100 m), with an outdoor pool during summer. The split-level bedroom has a queen-size bed. The sitting-room sofa can be transformed into a bed (width 120 cm), for one adult or two children. A cot for a baby/small child is available. The kitchenette contains i.a. a stove, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, coffee machine, blender and toaster. There is a BBQ in the garden.

I live right next door to the cottage and I enjoy receiving my guests in English, French, German, Russian, Italian, or in Dutch of course. My famous room service breakfast is optional and adaptable: coffee/tea, juice, eggs, yoghurt, nuts, muesli, fruit, bread/toast, ham, Dutch cheese, etc. Just ask me for it in advance.

The cottage is close to the University College (300 m). Tram 20-22 (tram stop ‘De Kromme Rijn’ 50 m) will take you within 10 minutes either to Utrecht CS & shopping mall (2000 m), or to Science Park (800 m) and Utrecht Medical Centre (1400 m). Utrecht has an attractive old city centre, with unique buildings, squares, canals, second-hand boutiques, as well as a modern shopping mall and all sorts of restaurants. Places one should visit include the museum for musical boxes, the Dom, the University botanical garden, the railway museum, the Nijntje museum (for small children) and the Rietveld-Schröder house, which is at walking distance (300 m) from the cottage. Most places in Utrecht can easily be reached by bike, but there are also bicycle paths to each single town and village throughout the country. In fact, there are several other smaller towns and also castles in the neighbourhood that are worth a visit.
