At the heart of the Frisian Lakes district, on the shores of the Koevorde Lake, lies our traditional Frisian farmhouse and recreational park De Koevoet. Through water and land we connect families and parties. We offer comfortable overnight stays in apartments, camping in the green countryside, mooring in the shelter of the marina, cosy dining at the restaurant, relaxing on the sunny terrace or renting a (sailing) boat. But above all: enjoying peaceful surroundings and fresh country air. De Koevoet has 10 compact apartments, suitable for 2 to 6 persons, in the barn conversion of the original, cosy traditional Frisian farmhouse. Come and stay in our cosy apartments, suitable for families and different kinds of groups. Watch the sun set on the Koevorde Lake from your apartment. We welcome dogs that are kept on a leash.

From its establishment in 1969, De Koevoet has been owned by Agnes Galama. Since then, the business has grown into a characteristic operating base at the heart of the Frisian Lakes region. In 2014, Agnes handed over the reins to us – her son and daughter. We, Niels and Nelly, are now continuing the family business and aim to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

De Koevoet is located in the centre of the Frisian Lakes area. From here, you can discover the surrounding area by boat, car, bicycle or on foot. The Frisian Lake district is known to many as a water sports area, but the shores with the forested Gaasterland have so much more to offer! The diversity in forms of recreation make this area popular with young and old.
