Hotel De Posthoorn is situated in the idyllic, historic center of Dokkum. The hotel has a big terrace on the canals and is an ideal starting point for a daytrip to the West-Frisian Islands Ameland and Schiermonnikoog. The "Lauwersmeer" (a big recreation lake), is perfect for swimming, sailing, and kite- and windsurfing, and is only 10 minutes by car from the hotel. In and around Dokkum you will find enough activities for a quiet as well as an active vacation. The hotel is also very suitable for business stays (early breakfast, takeout lunches, day menu).
