Het Gouden Eiland is located in the construction of a beautiful city villa on the edge of the historic village center of Parkstad Veendam. This area is known as Het Gouden Eiland, a residential area with houses built in the period from 1910 to 1930. Het Gouden Eiland is located in a quiet leafy neighborhood with tall oak trees and wide streets. The guesthouse has its own entrance. You have your own patio at your disposal with a seat where you can enjoy the sun while enjoying a snack and drink. You have a private bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. You also have your own kitchen. The interior has a modern industrial look. The guesthouse is fully equipped so that you can stay here for several days without any problems. Of course there is WiFi available as well as a fixed internet connection. Sheets and towels are provided free of charge. We will bring the Breakfast in the evening
We are Robin and Inge Drenth and have been the proud owner of this beautiful city villa since 2020. We enjoy living in Veendam. We both enjoy outdoor activities such as mountain biking, running and hiking. Fortunately, there are plenty of options in the area. We are happy to inform you about the possibilities and if you want you can always join us for a tour.
Our city villa is located on the edge of the center of Veendam, in a quiet neighborhood. Within walking distance you will find shops, restaurants, museums, swimming pool, cinema and station. The legendary Star departs from the station. That is an old-fashioned steam locomotive that takes you through the Veenkoloniën. In Veendam you will also find a beautiful park: Borgerswold. There you can go water skiing, swimming, canoeing, fishing, hiking, mountain biking or climbing through the trees in the climbing course. At 15 minutes by car you will find various nature reserves including the forestry of Gieten with the tree crown path, the Balloerveld or the Adriaan Tripbos. Within 25 minutes you are in Groningen by car or train. We are happy to inform you about the numerous possibilities that you can undertake here in the area.
