The family finds great pleasure in combining classical and modern themes. The design of the buildings, the park and the gardens are always kept in good condition with love and dedication.

Property info

Castle Sterkenburg is located in the middle of the surroundings De Kromme Rijnstreek and the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. A wonderfully peaceful environment where you can enjoy the historic sites and all the greenery around you in peace. You can choose between a stay in one of the rooms of the medieval castle or in one of the historic buildings on the property. All rooms are equally attractive and unique. When you arrive you will be welcomed and personally accompanied to your room. The personal atmosphere is partly due to the fact that the owners also live on Buitenplaats. They will be happy to tell you what it is like to live in a castle. If there are enough guests, a tour of the castle is possible. Ask about the options at your check-in. Do you fancy a nice walk through our Orchard or do you want to have a drink on the terrace on the water, that is all possible. When the evening has fallen you can have a nice drink in our cozy salon, where the fireplace is burning and often pleasant conversations take place. We look forward to welcoming you and getting to know all the beauty.

Neighborhood info

The Sterkenburg country estate is located in the Langbroekerwetering area. Beautiful nature with many walking routes and cycling routes. A trip with the canoe is certainly also possible in the water-rich Krommerijn area. Or what about visiting a museum, taking a look at the many forts in the area or visiting the many galleries. It's all around the corner. Do you want to shop or find a larger city? Within 20 minutes you are in Utrecht and Amsterdam can be reached within 30 minutes. You can also easily reach this by train, since the Intercity station Driebergen-Zeist is 5 minutes from Sterkenburg. Sterkenburg is an ideal, central, base for visiting the Netherlands.
