Logies op Dreef has been run by Michiel Nouwens since 2016. What started as the renovation of a former fruit grower’s farmhouse from 1922 has become a small-scale guesthouse with two self-contained private studios in Driebergen-Rijsenburg. I live on the property and am usually nearby if guests need anything, but the accommodation is intentionally set up for independent stays. Guests receive a personal door code, have their own entrance and can enjoy their stay at their own pace. My style of hospitality is personal, but never intrusive: I am available for questions, local tips or help, while fully respecting guests’ privacy. Over the years, I have welcomed many different guests: walkers, cyclists, business travellers, couples, people visiting family, guests temporarily working in the region and visitors who want to combine Utrecht with the quietness of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. That experience has taught me how important a clean studio, clear communication, fast Wi-Fi, practical arrival information and a comfortable bed are. Besides running the guesthouse, I have a passion for good coffee, nature and bees. That is why fresh coffee is available in the studios, and our own beehives are located on the property. In season, local honey from our own bees is available. For guests who would like something extra, small-scale Barista and Beekeeping Experiences can also be booked on site. No shared corridors, no reception desk and no fixed breakfast times: you can follow your own rhythm. There are two studios. Studio Boven is spacious and bright, with 45m², a fully equipped kitchen, sitting area and dining/work table. It is ideal for a longer stay, a relaxing weekend or a business trip with extra space. Studio Beneden is compact, ground-floor and fully equipped, with a private bathroom, kitchenette and terrace. It is perfect for a short stay, solo traveller, walker, cyclist or business guest. Both studios include good coffee, fast Wi-Fi, digital TV with Netflix, comfortable beds and free parking on or near the property. We do not serve breakfast; instead, you have the freedom to prepare your own breakfast in your studio or visit the bakery, supermarket or cafés within walking distance. What guests especially appreciate is the combination of privacy, quietness and accessibility.
