Pait's Laand Bed & Breakfast has been created from a Dutch farmhouse that was built in 1934. You, as a guest of ours, will be staying in the original farmhouse, whilst the barn has been converted to our family house. We momentarily have a single room with on suite, a dining room and miniature kitchen. We offer a variety of breakfast choices ranging from continental breakfast to a full English Breakfast. Our selection will continue to grow. The room has a double bed which can be split in to two single beds and you have the choice of 1 single duvet of 2 singles.

We are an international family, Lisa is British and Glenn is half Dutch/half British but grew up in he Netherlands in the county Groningen. We are a professional couple who, besides running the Bed & Breakfast, also run around taking our daughters on playdates and extra afterschool activities. We have lived for the past 20 to 30 years in the Middle East in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. In 2020 we relocated back Europe, to be more precise the Netherlands. In May 2021 we bought our home and have spent the most of a year settling in and redesigning the house to function as a Bed & Breakfast. Pait's Laand is old Dutch for "Peter's land" which is the original name of the property. Coincidentally both our fathers were called Peter and to add a bit to it, Lisa's father was born the same year as the house was built (1934).

Pait's Laand Bed & Breakfast is located in a petite little village in the Netherlands, in the county Groningen, called Overschild. We are situated between the city Groningen (15 minutes) and the city Delfzijl (15 minutes). Groningen is the north eastern most province in the Netherlands. It is mainly agricultural with its capital, also called Groningen, as the only big city around. Although the flat countryside may seem uneventful at first glance, there is plenty of heritage and typical scenery to discover. This area was the stage for one of the oldest human efforts in Europe to conquer the water and shape the landscape through ditches, terps and pastures. There are picturesque villages, historical mansions and ample opportunities to just enjoy the laid-back countryside life in this most northern part of the Netherlands. Delfzijl is a pleasant harbour city on the northern coast of the Netherlands. It's in the north-eastern part of Groningen Province and is home to some 20,000 people. It's not a major tourist destination, except when once every 5 years the town in turned into the bustling decor for DelfSail.
