Hi, we’re Mionne and Ron. We absolutely love historic Dutch architecture and characterful old buildings. We’ve renovated Huize de Lekpoort with a lot of care, preserving as many authentic details as possible, because we’re passionate about maintaining the charm and soul of historic homes. Our family lives in a Rijksmonument from 1882, so we know firsthand the joy of living in and caring for a building full of history. We’re excited to share this passion with our guests. This accommodation is less suitable for those who have difficulty walking. Taller people will bow their heads to go to the bedrooms or to take a seat at the dining table. Real atmosphere makers are the three striking oak beams from the 16th century that hold the more than 5 meter high soaring roof and provide a loft-like feeling. Due to the smart layout of the apartment, the large living room and open kitchen are located between two beams. You need to just bow your head going to the bedrooms or the dining table. The apartment is fully equipped with a complete modern kitchen, smart TV, free WIFI, turbo Internet speed, two lovely bedrooms, a reading corner (annex extra bed) and an attractive bathroom. The open kitchen is a wonderful space to cook in. You will find everything there to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Vianen is one of the oldest Dutch Medieval cities close to Utrecht and its attractions. Your appartment is situated in the ancient centre of town. You will enjoy the cosy restaurants, wine bars and small shops. Vianen is welcoming to tourists in a jovial way. The beautiful historic town is located next to the river Lek. A lovely place for swimming or go ahead and explore one of the neighbouring towns by bike. There are numerous bike trails starting from the Lekpoort next to our building. From your holiday home you can easily reach Utrecht, Amsterdam and Schiphol by car or public transport. There is a free car park near the apartment.
