A cozy, historic caravan AND a charming sleeping studio in a spacious, fenced private garden of 400 m². Both well insulated and comfortable to use year-round for up to 4 people. THE CIRCUS CARAVAN (restored in 2025) An atmospheric, historic caravan (11 m) with authentic details. The caravan features a fully equipped kitchen (gas stove, oven/microwave, Nespresso machine, kettle, and filter coffee maker), a bathroom with shower, toilet, and sink, and a bedroom with a double bed (140x200). The living area includes a dining table, comfortable seating, and games/books. Equipped with insulation, double glazing, and a gas heater, making it suitable for all seasons. THE RED STUDIO An additional sleeping studio with a seating area and two single beds (80x200), which can also be joined together. Pleasantly warm in winter as well. Here you will also find an extra toilet, sink, and washing machine. SPACIOUS GARDEN The garden offers plenty of privacy. It features multiple seating areas: a terrace with an outdoor kitchen and BBQ, a balcony by the caravan for your morning coffee, and a bistro set to enjoy the evening sun. In summer, extra lounge chairs are available. Before arrival, the host sends a digital booklet with many great local tips and information about the area.

We are Nienke (designer) and Cornelis (handyman). Together, we build and renovate old houses and unique objects, such as this 100-year-old caravan. We work exclusively with reclaimed building materials, which not only creates a lot of character but is also very sustainable. Nienke is your host and is always available for any questions.

Frisian Lakes area Located among trees and meadows on a small-scale, green, and peaceful holiday park (a former plant nursery). The Tjeukemeer lake is just 2 km away. Villages such as Joure, Heerenveen, and Lemmer are easily accessible by bike. Before arrival, you will receive a booklet with local tips for restaurants, cafés, and fun excursions.
