On the beach, in the Heart of Lofoten: Authentic and charming fisherman´s cottage built 1850. "Rorbu" resting on wooden stilts in the sea of the vibrant fishing port of Ballstad; the biggest fishing village in Lofoten. The cottage is still used by real fishermen during the season, and is fully equipped. Local food available in restaurants nearby (off-season serving by request). Airport - 12 km. Biggest shopping centre in Lofoten - 10 km. Hospital - 8 km.<br />This is the genuine Lofoten life.
Beautiful scenery. Fish restaurant 200 meters from the "rorbu", which is placed in an original and preserved environment of old "rorbu" cottages. Real fishing vessels come in and deliver codfish right by the cottage. Very good hiking possibilities - the cottage is placed right by a big mountain. Very good fishing possibilities.
