Hiking trails start directly at our gate – just below the majestic Blåhø mountain. A quiet and simple stay, ideal for couples, friends, or families.
We’re a quiet family living upstairs who love the peaceful lifestyle and rich nature around Vågå. Hosting lets us share this special place with others who appreciate simplicity, comfort, and connection with the environment. Right behind our house lies Skjellmyr – a beautiful and diverse peatland with rare plants, including carnivorous species. We care deeply about animals, ecology, and biodiversity. In our yard, we support natural meadow growth to encourage a variety of plant and insect life. We've created a simple and cozy space where guests can relax and experience nature just outside the door. We’re happy to offer advice about the area if you want to explore more.
Our home lies along the scenic road to Blåhø, Norway’s third-highest public road. You can drive all the way to the top, where you'll find panoramic views and access to numerous hiking trails. Nearby lies Skjellmyr, a unique and diverse peatland with rare plant life. The town of Vågå is just a short drive away and offers essentials like shops and cafés, and even a touch of culture: at Ullinsvin cultural center, you can explore exhibitions, concerts, and a permanent collection dedicated to Edvard Munch, who had a deep connection to this valley.
