Have you ever wondered what it's like to sleep like a bird? Dreamed of sleeping in a cozy nest beside the trees? With us, we can make those dreams come true. You have the whole cabin for yourself. Here you will find peace in front of a cozy fireplace, relax in the sunken bathtub or perch in the round window and take in panoramic view of the fjord. The birdhouse (fuglekassehytta) sleeps six persons. The three bedrooms, each containing a double bed, has unique views. Look out over the fjord, observe wildlife in the forest, or sleep among the treetops under a starry sky. This fully equipped cabin has all you need including a full bathroom with floor heating. The bathroom is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, towels and bathrobes. Beds are made up for your arrival with duvets and pillows of hypoallergenic Norwegian down. The kitchen has a microwave and dishwasher, and is fully stocked with cups, dishes and cutlery. Locally roasted coffee, as well as a selection of teas is provided. Breakfast is included. A basket filled with local goodies from Trøndelag is delivered to your door at a pre-arranged time. A open field frames a ever changing view of the Borgenfjord and the Golden Circle (Den Gyldne Omvei) in Inderøy. There are several groomed hiking trains and bicycle routes in the immediate area, and you can read more about them in the Cabin book. This birdhouse cabin is proud of the use of sustainable and local materials and manufacturers. Designed by Rallar Architecture out of Trondheim, it`s built by Arkitre in Verdal of Norwegian materials and wood from Steinkjer. The round windowsill was designed by the hosts. Although it is only a short walk from the car park to the birdhouse cabin, the cabin is not designed for guests with poor mobility. The cabin is rented for a fixed price for up to six people.

We love to make people feel free and relaxed in nature, but still have everything they need on site. We have a special place in our hearts for local food and beverage. A perfect day can include a hike and a good localy roasted coffe looking over the fjord.

Lorvika is on the countryside, and therefor there are no full-year open restaurants within walking distance (if not our own restaurant in the Stabbur is open). We recommend electrical bikes for a tasting-tour in the summer, or by car in the winter. On the other side of the fjord there are many good activities and restaurants. We are only 20 minuttes away from Steinkjer, Inderøy and Verdal.
