We stayed in the 2 bedroom cabin which was a stone's throw away from the main facilities building, so it was very secluded yet convenient. The house was spacious and warm, and we enjoyed using the badminton court and lounge in the main building....

Company info

Today's old trading place was built around 1870. After changing times Per Lund and Randi Normann took over the fishing village of Kalle in 1990 to develop it further in nature-based tourism. However, most of the time has gone to rehabilitate the place and find a bit of the soul to this unique and old fishing village. Today, Hovedgården is again used as a dwelling. The same with Skipperstua. New generations have come in. Today, all buildings have been restored and the original cabins are secured and rented out for rorbu holidays. Many nice guests create new life in the fishing village and new activities have been added. Eventually, we hope that old traditions and new activities will provide a new basis for life for the old fishing village of Kalle. Here we do not become unemployed. Just penniless! And sometimes happy..

Property info

Kalle is located centrally in the middle of Lofoten - at the same time far away from the tourist stream. There is no traffic or other life here than our own guests themselves create. Experience the absence of civilization for a while! Many people think it feels good. Kalle is today a holiday and fishing village well preserved with root in old coastal culture. Just below Vågakallen - in a fantastic nature area - lies the old trading place. There are still the main mansion, original fishermen's cabins, piers and sea houses. Just out of the good harbor there are some of the best fishing spots on the Lofoten Sea.

Neighborhood info

Kalle is a freestate where the "natural" has every opportunity ... For many, Kalle can be perceived as "a little outside civilization". Here nature and weather are precisely the strongest elements and the mountains nearby can be experienced somewhat impressive.. Kalle - just below "Vågakallen" itself - is a nature park that has everything just a few hundred meters from the rorbu cabin! The contrasts are large with pointed peaks against soft beaches and the ocean just up against an idyllic small fjord. Most people need a few days off to get to know the Lofoten nature. Then it all seems more natural .....
