REEL stands for Relax – Enjoy – Explore Lofoten. That is exactly what we want you to do when you come to us. REEL is a family business that offers accommodation and activities in and around Lofotodden National Park. We have a total of two accommodations, Lofoten Bed & Breakfast in Reine and Buodden Rorbuer in Sørvågen. In addition, we offer RIB tours and fishing tours with a focus on culture, nature, history and wildlife. Lofoten Bed & Breakfast had its first guests in 2012, then with only three rooms available. We have since expanded the offer, and today we have 11 rooms and one apartment, as well as serving a simple, traditional breakfast buffet.

The building that today houses the Lofoten Bed & Breakfast was originally built as an administration building for the local electricity copmpany. The main house was built in 1948, with later additions in 1996 and 2020. The manager og the electrical company, Axel Haugen, lived on the second floor of the building with his wife Ester when the building was new. They had a large apartment with three beautiful living rooms. Today, each living room has been converted into separate guest rooms. They had had a housekeeper and liked to take in artists for a visit. These also had their own rooms, which are today guest rooms. In addition, engineer Fygle lived in the building, together with his wife and three children, and there were offices for both accountant, auditor and workers. Engineer Fygle later moved to the house next door, and the original apartment they lived in is today the Administration for Lofoten Bed & Breakfast. All the offices have also been converted into guest rooms, and the old canteen they had is our dining room today, where a traditional Norwegian breakfast is served every day. Lars Åge and Therese, who own and run the family business REEL AS, bought the building in 2011 and have slowly but surely converted it into a simple bed & breakfast. The history of the building has been kept, and the room layout is much like it was originally. Offices and living rooms have been converted into guest rooms. The rooms have been given names that are linked to the previous use of the room. Old materials, including the original wooden staircase, have been preserved. An old house with charm and history where we want to give our guests a nice stay in beautiful natural surroundings.

Reine is the place where you will find most of the things offered in the area. We are only 300 meters from the village center, where you will find restaurants, a petrol station and a cafe. This is also where you will find the activities; fishing, RIB tours, safari, kayak, bike hire etc.
