The house has a fully equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms (4 persons), a living room with dining table, sitting area and fireplace. One bedroom has a double bed, the other 2 single beds. Everything is provided, including towels and bed linen. Bed linen change once every 2 weeks. Extra towels against surcharge. The property is quietly situated along a road with local traffic only. The accommodation provides quick WiFi.

Østby is a small village with a hotel, restaurant and a supermarket. It is located 19 kilometers from the border with Sweden and 18 kilometers from Trysil. There are hiking opportunities and the lysloipe (cross-country skiing) is 75 meters away. From December to the end of April there is enough snow for skiing, cross-country skiing and other winter sports. In the summer it is a great base for long walks, visiting various tourist spots such as Fulufjellet, Trysilfjellet, the golf course in Trysil or a visit to Sweden. Or just to relax. There is a lake nearby where you can swim. Right next to the accommodation lies the start of the Trysil Ski Marathon, which is run every year in February. Almost in the same spot is the lysløipe, where a short cross-country ski trip can be taken in winter and an evening walk in summer. The start of the Trysilmila (winter and summer) is also located here. At a slightly greater distance, but still close by, lies a lake where swimming and canoeing are possible. The Fulufjellet and Skagsvola nature reserves are just under an hour's drive away and offer beautiful and challenging hiking trails in the summer. There is also plenty to do for casual and sporty cyclists. Tracks surround the accommodation, and a little further away in Trysil, there is even an open-air cycling arena. Every 2 years (even years), the Støa-kanalspelen are held in Støa. A historical experience of daily life in those days. Places such as Elverum and Hamar are located 3 kilometers away, respectively. A 75-minute drive from the location.
