We are a private family of four, with two children aged 10 and 12. We live in the floor above yours, and we care about your stay – we hope you have the best time here. You may well bump into us outside from time to time; we're always happy to say hello and help if you need anything. If you're travelling with children, they are more than welcome to join ours on the trampoline in the garden, a guaranteed hit for young guests! The apartment is conveniently located right next to RV 3, yet sits elevated on a hillside, meaning road and rail noise is barely noticeable. Rena is a charming small village nestled in the heart of Østerdalen, one of Norway's most scenic valleys. The area is perfect for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts looking to explore the Norwegian countryside at their own pace. The surrounding nature offers excellent opportunities for hiking and fishing. The Rena river, which meets Norway's longest river, Glomma, right in the heart of the village, provides excellent fishing and is a stunning sight in itself from the Ski Jump Tower. The vast forests and hills surrounding the area offer scenic trails for hiking and walks year-round, whether you prefer a leisurely stroll or a longer trek. Rena has a small but convenient town centre with grocery stores, cafés, a pharmacy, doctor and liquor store. The highlight of the village centre is where the Rena river flows into the Glomma, framed by three bridges, a truly spectacular view, especially at sunset – just a 12 minute walk away. This is a genuinely peaceful destination, ideal for those who want to slow down, disconnect, and enjoy the tranquility of authentic Norwegian nature and village life.
