Cafeteria open in the summer. No shops in the area. Orkanger is 5 km away and offers a wide varietey of shops and restaurants. The electric museum railway from Fannrem ( 15 km ) to Løkken is open in summer, as is the mining museum located at Løkken. Here you also find the old copper mine which offers guided tours. Trondheim is 35 km away and has a lot of interesting sights such as the cathedral Nidarosdomen, the music instrument museum Ringve, Sverresborg Folkemuseum and the TKM (contemporary and classical painting). Around mid-summer is the big outdoor market and festival in Trondheim. You can fish salmon in two of Norway's best salmon rivers, Orkla ( 5 km) and Gaula (15 km) as well as in numerous small rivers in the neighborhood. Good salt- water fishing in the fjord with a wide variety of fish. We have boats for hire.
