The house "Gammelstua" (the Old house) is originally a 3 floors loghouse from the mid 1880es, a rustic and charming home on a small dairyfarm in the western part of the rural and lush Gausdal. Lots of well thought through details inside and outside the house, and the scenery at the property is more or less amazing. There is usually a lot of snow during the winter in Gausdal, and the property is just a 5-15 drive from the nearest cross country ski trails. The closest alpine skiresort Skeikampen is a 30 min drive away. The hills and valleys of Gausdal are also great for hiking and bisycling in the summer. You will not regret a stay in Paulsrud!

Hei! We are a family of 3: Thomas (48), Elisabeth (47) and Oline (13), running a small dairyfarm in Gausdal, near the winter olympic CIty Lillehammer. Hosting and spending time with tourists from all over the world are one of our favorite hobbies. We have 3 cosy and rustic units on our property, which we are proudly renting out throughout the whole year. You will not regret a stay at our little nostalgic piece of Norway ! My husband and I both work fulltime at the farm, that means that we will be available for questions asked about what to do, what to see and where to go whenever you need it. For animal lovers - Please drop by the cow shed during milking (mornings 07-08, afternoons 17-18) to have a closer look at our dairy management and our adorable recruits (the calves). We also offer homemade strawberry jam, eggs from our chicken coop, local honey and goat cheese, and our very popular sourdough bread. The tiny village close to the farm is named "Forset" (4 mins driving distance). Despite the size it still offers a well run supermarket with a wonderful and serviceminded staff, a gas station, a church, school, groomed cross country ski trails during the winter. Have a refreshing swim in the river in the summer. There are several good spots and areas perfect for barbequing, bathing and basking in the sun. We`ll guide you to the best spots! The surroundings are also perfect for hiking and bisycling in the summer season. Lush, remote and diversed landscape. Just a 10 min`s drive away: "Segalstad bru/bridge": 1 gas station, 3 supermarkets, pharmacy, hairdresser, sportshop, Emergency room, farmshop, etc. We advice you to bring your own car or rent a car at the airport or in Lillehammer. If you don`t have a driving license, we will be able to pick you up at the nearest bus stop (5-10 mins drive).
