Veslekoia is only 39 square meters in size and was built in 1963. There is no running water or electricity, but there is some solar-powered electricity, which often provides enough power to charge phones. There is an outbuilding with firewood and an outdoor toilet. The cabin is located in a quiet and older cabin area. Skiing and hiking opportunities can be found right outside the door. Remember to have good winter tires, as the road can be slippery. 🔎 The cabin does not have a cleaning fee. The main rule is that you should leave the cabin in the condition you would like to find it, preferably a little better than when you arrived. Necessary cleaning supplies and checkout rules can be found at the cabin. 🔎 One sack of firewood is included per stay. Guests can purchase additional sacks of firewood for 100 NOK per sack. Payment via Airbnb. 🔎 Please inform the host if you would like to rent bed linen. It costs 100 NOK per person and is free for stays of at least four days. Notify at least one day before arrival. Towels and cloths can be borrowed at no extra cost. 🔎 There are water cans at the cabin/outbuilding that can be used to fetch water. The water source/well is along Budorvegen, about two kilometers from the cabin - towards Budor Gjestegård. 🔎 There is a toll station 18 kilometers before you reach Veslekoia. Price as of August 2025: 85 NOK. The nearest store is open on Sundays and is located at Brenneriroa. It is a good idea to buy everything you need for the weekend at this store to avoid having to pass the toll again for extra purchases. From the toll road to the cabin is 9 kilometers. 🔎 Guests must be able to operate the gas stove and gas refrigerator if used during the stay. Instructions are available at the cabin. 🔎 There are dishcloths, cleaning cloths, soap, toilet paper, games, spices, filter coffee/beans, etc., available. There is a French press and a pour-over coffee maker available. 🔎 It’s wise to bring a power bank and a headlamp. 🕯️

The Site The cabin is located at 565 meters above sea level in an older, scattered, and secluded cabin area just north of Budor. Beds Veslekoia has two beds and sleeping space for three to four people. One bed, which is 120 centimeters wide, is located within the entrance area. The other bed is placed in the kitchen and is 140 centimeters wide. There are standard sizes for duvets and pillows, and there are mattress toppers on the beds. Bathroom There is no bathroom in the cabin, but there is a washing basin, soap, and cloths in a corner of the kitchen. The outdoor toilet can be found in the outbuilding, as there is no toilet inside the cabin. Parking There is parking space for two to three cars, and the road leads right up to the cabin. In winter, the parking area is plowed by a snowplow by agreement (December—April). Ski Trails/Ski Resort The nearest prepared ski trails are about two kilometers from Veslekoia, while the Budor ski and sledding hill is three kilometers away. Here you will also find Budor Gjestegård, where you can purchase dinner after your skiing trip. It is possible to rent skis, sleds, and ski equipment at Budor Ski Resort.
