The Nest provides comfortable and wholesome amenities. The rooms are spacious, cozy, and well kept with views overlooking the Kathmandu valley, perfect for the early riser or the late sleeper. The menu features a variety of homemade Nepali meals made from local ingredients : dhal Bhat, momos, masala omelet, and delicious milk tea. Our guesthouse offers a restaurant patio with a hangout ambiance. During the day our rooftop patios offer sun and shade perfect for getting some work done, enjoying a morning tea, doing yoga, or lounging around. The views are exceptional from all points of the property. On a clear day, you can see snowcapped mountains in the distance and at night you can watch the sunset and see the whole valley light up. What truly sets The Nest apart from other properties is the energy here, this place will feel like a home away from home whether you stay a few nights or a month. But don't take our word for it, come see for yourself!
We like to make our guests feel home. We can provide free information about sightseeing, local crafts workshops, on going or coming festivals... we can also arrange bicycle, bike or car renting, taxi pick-up... whatever you need to enjoy your stay !
The historical town of Changunarayan is away from the fast-paced life of Kathmandu and is home to the heritage site of Nepal's oldest temple. Chanagunarayan is a chance to experience an authentic village life in Nepal and see the beautiful landscapes of the Kathmandu valley. The village offers hiking trails, historical sites, authentic Nepali food and drinks just a short walk away. For guests looking to explore their creative side, there are lessons in traditional Nepali instruments, thangka painting classes. In the surrounding areas of Bhaktapur, guests can take a pottery class in Pottery square, take wood carving lessons, visit the paper factory, see more historical temples in Dubar square.
