Gary and I love living in Oamaru and enjoy sharing our property and lives with visitors. We love old things and restoring the cottage has been a year long passion with the best of the old and the best of the new. Helping people get the most out of their stay is important to us. Trish is a full time artist who is happy to take guests on a tour of our extensive natural garden, our 125 year old house and her extensive collection of artwork. Guests get to hand feed friendly sheep and meet our animals.
Trish and I enjoy hosting people from all over the world and hearing people's stories. Our hobbies include, music, art, woodworking, furniture making, beer brewing, gardening and steampunk.
Our property is within 15 minutes walk of all the downtown must see areas. The Victorian Precinct, the botanic gardens and around 20 places to eat. 25 minutes walk to the penguins or a 5 minute car ride. We are in a really quiet area and guests almost always tell us they have enjoyed a peaceful time and the comfortable bed.
