The Cottage is a tiny house style accommodation (24m3) and is located next to our home, both set well back from the road, and is fully self-contained with parking alongside, in a beautiful park like setting. All windows have double glazing and the cottage is fully insulated. A ramp is fitted for easy access as well as stairs. Amenities include a separate bedroom with a queen size bed, a sitting area, a kitchen with a microwave oven, fridge, gas stove top, kettle, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine, sink and benchtop, dishes and cutlery, and a small dining table and chairs. Bathroom has shower, sink and state of the art Swedish waterless toilet. There is a covered deck with a serene, tranquil outlook with outdoor table and chairs. We are on a 5 acre lifestyle block, very picturesque and peaceful (it used to be a wedding venue) full of large and varied trees, loved by the local native birds. There are 6 friendly free-range chickens (no roosters), a house cat and 3 sheep on the property. Solar power supplies most of the energy used on the property.

We left city life for the tranquil setting of this region and working towards being as self-sufficient as we can.

Situated about 25 minutes south of Oamaru, we are in a fully private rural setting about 10 minutes from safe swimming beaches, fresh water rivers, Moeraki Boulders, and 5 minutes drive from pubs, takeaways and Night N Day shop.
