Upstairs at this Waimarama accommodation, bedroom 1 has a double bed, while bedroom 2 has a queen bed. Downstairs, bedroom 3 has a double bed plus a single bunk set. The games room includes a single bunk set when required, and 2 separate cabins, cabin 1 has a double bed while cabin 2 is fitted with a double bed and a set of single bunks, providing additional sleeping for larger groups. This is the perfect option for a laid back, casual beach getaway for up to 10 guests - the spacious section is ideal for family games in the sun, plus you are just a hop, skip, and a jump from the beach for days in the sand and surf. Karamea is the West Coast's Gateway to the Kaurangi National Park, and the start of the Heaphy track, which is one of New Zealand's Great Walks. There are also a number of shorter walkways, including the Nikau Walk, for a taste of the 82 kilometre Heaphy track, without all the effort! Other popular visitor activities include kayaking, white water rafting, helirafting, trout fishing, and exploring the limestone arches and caves of the Oparara Basin.
