Our riverside property is gated and you will be provided with a remote. Otherwise we share the space with Mary and Bryan ( my sister) who also has a studio unit. EV charging is available on site. There is plenty of room to wander onsite. You can use the Tennis Court, the bikes , or the Kayaks or just sit on the wharf and enjoy the birdlife. Rosie will befriend you but she is not allowed in the unit or to be fed. The BBQ on your deck is a great place to hang out.
Susan runs a small Art Gallery on site: SusanDavidsonGallery which is can be viewed online. A past teacher she is now a full time artist. Her and Charlie however, have a long history of Theatre. Charlie playing Javert in Les Mis, and Susan directing Mama Mia to name a few accomplishments. They walk Rosie daily and visitors are welcome to join them. Well travelled they enjoy greatly the many cultures and people they have experinced since opening a Bnb in Wanaka over 20 years ago.
Clive has all the facilities you could possibly need in walking distance. Plenty of down to earth eating places plus a busy pub. Just over the bridge is an olympic pool and the. river is a haven for rowers, canoeists and jetskis away from the Riverside Bliss end of the river. A four square, a chemist, a grog shop, a bike rental and a medical centre are in the village, and over the bridge there is often Rugby Soccer or some festival going on. Susan can point you towards more upmarket vineyards and restaurants close by plus advice on the many attractions Hawkes Bay can offer. Clive is about 10 minutes from Havelock North, Napier and Hastings by car and easily managed on a cycle trail.
