Welcome to The Cow & Calf Cottages: 2 modern self-contained cottages. Cow Cottage sleeps up to 3 people & Calf Cottage sleeps 1. Rural, yet just 15 mins drive from Napier CBD, you really can enjoy the best of the city & the countryside. We are right by the Puketapu Cycle Track so if you are here to cycle or you want to have a lovely walk, we are in a great spot for you. We are also next to Puketapu Road so an easy 1 min drive to Shed 530 Bistro & Winery & the Puketapu Pub. The river is a few mins walk away, great to cool off in the summer. Perfectly located, we are just a few mins drive to Taradale, 15 mins to Napier & Napier airport & 20 mins to Hastings. Whether you're here to cycle the tracks, explore the fab wineries and local beaches, go Art Deco, on business or to simply relax, we are brilliantly positioned for you. You will not be bored! Cow Cottage has a large open plan lounge & fully fitted kitchen. There are 2 separate bedrooms with one double bed and 1 single & a bathroom with shower and toilet. Calf Cottage has everything you will need whilst away from home. You will enjoy your own shower room & toilet, single bed, smart TV, heat pump, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge. Cow and Calf Cottages are fully fenced & away from the main house (& our 2 staffy dogs, although you are welcome to spend some time with them if you like...they'd love it!). We are next to Puketapu Road and there is ample free off-road parking. Each cottage has its own decking and there is a shared outside area. The views are incredible ... just look at the photos. There is very little light pollution, and we can sometimes see the Milky Way at night. Rest assured that we have secure storage space for bikes (please arrange your own bike insurance).

We love where we live and are very excited to be able to share this beautiful part of Aotearoa with you. We love to potter in the garden, sit on our decking and look at the fab view, walk our dogs by the river, go to the local wineries, the cinema and Dragon Boating. Puketapu is a beautiful rural location just on the outskirts of Napier. We are directly beside the cycle track, so you can set off straight away on your bike to cycle the Puketapu Loop and onto other parts of the cycle tracks which go to the wineries, the sea and beyond. The Puketapu Park playground is a quick 2 minutes' drive from us. It also doesn't take long to get to either Napier or Hastings. There is TONS of stuff to do in Napier, and Hastings and we're really not far from any of it. Be it outdoor swimming and spas, the fab Sunday Farmers' market in Hastings, museums, cinemas, restaurants, Art Deco celebrations in the summer and all the concerts throughout the year, you will not be bored! We love it here and are sure you'll enjoy your stay here too.
