We, Patrick and Amber, are your hosts. Patrick is originally from South Africa, and Amber grew up on a farm right here in the Waitaki Valley. We bought this property in 2007 and built an off-grid barnhouse, and have raised our 4 children here. We have both travelled the world extensively (in fact we met each other in Israel in 1992). We love to meet people from all around the world and New Zealand. Therefore, sharing our little piece of paradise with people is a dream come true.

Valley Views Glamping is close to Kurow in the Waitaki Valley, in the South Island of New Zealand, with fabulous views of the valley, and the hills and mountains beyond. You’ll love our place because you will experience the luxury of glamping on a working beef cattle farm, you will love the outdoors space, the peace and tranquility, the super comfy beds, the experience of camping without the discomforts! Our place is good for couples, families, or larger groups of up to 16 people. We have 6 geodesic domes. Our domes offer a super-king bed which split to twin beds on request. All domes are luxuriously furnished and offer everything you need to make your glamping experience the best ever! We also provide a purpose built off-grid lodge with shared kitchen, dining and bathroom facilities. As well, it has a large pot-belly stove to heat the open-plan dining and kitchen areas on colder evenings. There are two outdoor dining areas, and for a completely amazing experience, there are four outdoor-baths in the forest; all with magnificent views down into the valley and perfect for viewing the stars!

Our glampsite is situated on a working beef cattle farm using holistic principles. There are plenty of places to walk on the farm and surrounding areas. Our hydro dams and lakes are only 15 minutes drive away, and the Waitaki river is world famous for trout and salmon fishing. We are 1 hour, 15 mins from Ohau Ski Field, and only 8kms from the Alps to Ocean cycle trail which runs from Aoraki Mt Cook to the historic town of Oamaru.
