Quiet, relaxing & peaceful - ocean sunrise view from your bed - starry skies - close-up mountains - very spacious, light & airy - beautiful wood throughout - creative touches, coastal feel - secure parking This SPACIOUS loft-bedroom studio with large living area and acres of glass, opens onto our 2 hectare lifestyle property. Marvel at the serenity of being just 10 mins from Kaikoura town. This guest studio is located at the eastern end of our house, but is private & quiet, with an independent entrance & a great outdoor deck. The space is large & lofty, with a two-story high cedar wood ceiling, beachy white floor boards & coastal decor. There is a queen bed in the loft section & a sofa bed downstairs. Please note, there are NO KITCHEN FACILITIES, but if you want to bring your own food from town, there is a dresser full of plates, bowls, cutlery etc. Mini fridge (no freezer), kettle, toaster and Nespresso machine. I provide cereal, milk, coffee pods, toast and jams. And I'm happy to microwave for you on request. :-) Please do not mark me down, after you leave, for the lack of kitchen facilities. You have been told this in the listing already. Please do not book my place if you do not like the thought of washing your dishes in the bathroom sink. My facilities are the fresh country air, the peace and serenity of rural New Zealand, with mountain and ocean views from your bed! Plus gracious grazing cows. And very often, 5000 stars in the night sky! If you prefer the goggle box, there is a 32" smart TV with all the normal Kiwi channels PLUS Netflix and Disney+. The wifi is really good as well. We have a few cows and sometimes sheep. Please be careful of the electric fencing! And, don't forget, Bonnie the Golden Doodle awaits your pats! (Cheese is her favourite treat).

Hi! I am a certified Translator in Spanish & French. I speak a little German, as well. I met my husband while teaching ESL in Baja California Sur, near Los Cabos. For many years, I flew hot-air balloons before becoming an avid sailor. I adore water sports and adventure sports and have lived in Europe as well as Latin America. I really hope to see you in Kaikoura one day so I can show you some hospitality at White Caps.

We are located 10 minutes north of Kaikoura which is the closest town. We are only a few minutes from a famous local surf beach, called Mangamaunu. There is a mountain-bike cycle track very close by also, in the Hapuku River gully. This is a rural area with dairy cows. We have two cows ourselves and some sheep. To get the most out of your stay, you should bring some food supplies with you like wine, beer, cheese and fruit. Otherwise, head into town and visit the many good cafés, restaurants and pubs.
