Not far from Iquitos, here you can feel the forest and avoid the noise and pollution of Iquitos. And I looked the attention to detail: real stainless steel pots and pants, not the usual scratched nonstick ones.

The location is special; in the midst of the Peruvian jungle but still close enough to town to run errands. The village also had small stores to buy necessities. Ben makes sure that the property is well taken care of; you can tell him and Cynthia...

We loved the quietude of this removed little sanctuary. It's the perfect place to retreat, restore, and rest. We took the bus into Iquitos, which was around 40 minutes, to stock up on groceries from the Belen Market. It's a remote area so, it's...

Amaca was everything I hoped for - remote, rustic tranquil. I was seeking closeness with nature and birdwatching. The area at and around Amaca was diverse, bird rich and access to a variety of habitats was easy. Benjamin was an exceptional...

Amaca Eco Station started as a wonderful idea during the crisis of 2020 so that visitors from all over the world can enjoy the jungle of Peru. Our aim to protect our environment and together with the local community to create work opportunities and to value the richness of this flora and fauna. We live here in the most sustainable possible way, having solar panels and growing several fruits and vegetables being friendly with our surrounding nature. We offer two malocas, or typical constructions, for short and long stays, built with dry leaves as roof and local legal wood, with the comfort of electricity, wifi, working area, kitchen, and all the facilities you need. We are pleased to invite you to fully participate in this adventure where you can also have a bike ride exploring lagoons and discovering new sceneries, hike a natural trail learning and observing the flora and fauna, and take a moment in our special maloca for ceremonies, meditation, exercise and/or just relax in our hammocks.
Benjamin & Cynthia crossed paths in this right location and immediately started to work together in this project. They have been enjoying the privilege of living in the middle of the jungle and want to share this with all their guests. They are constantly improving Amaca Eco Station. Benjamin loves to grow fruts and vegetables in the garden, and enjoys cooking. Cynthia is carefully looking after the details of the guests making sure all will be all right for your stay.
We are located only 14kms from the airport and 23kms from the city of Iquitos. We are located only 8kms from the Allpahuayo Mishana National Reserve, within the buffer zone where you can observe characteristic lagoons, palms and thin high trees. You can visit the CREA, or Centro de Rescate Amazónico, a rescue center located only 400m from our place. In this visit you will learn how they protect manatees and other fauna such as monkeys, macaws and others. There is a shop only 10-minute walk where you can find all the basics you need such as fruits, vegetables, groceries, drinks, etc. You can also use our bikes for this shopping. You can find two restaurants with comfortable facilities and delicious typical food just 500m from our place. One offers swimming pools and large gardens and the other has a very local taste.
