Qocha simi is magical place to stay right in the magical island of Amantaní. This house has a beautiful garden and a lovely terrace with stunning view day and night. Aditionally, it is a 5 minute walk from the port and 10 minute walk from the main plaza. Price includes 3 meals and only payments in soles are accepted. Additional cost for extra cuy or trout.

Lusmila is a hardworking mom who loves greating guests and inviting travellers into her home. She has espectacular cooking skills and everything you will be eating is fresh and grown by Lusmila’s family. At home, she lives with her young daughter, her mom and her dad, which love hosting and have been taking travelers in for more than 10 years. If there is any troubles or doubts, Lusmila will always be able to keep in contact with you.

Occasionally, the town organizes parties in the plaza for travellers to enjoy drinks and learn tradional dances of the island. Lusmila and her family will always make sure to guide you around the island and make sure you can explore the island as well as finding your way back home. The price for each nights includes 3 delicious meals and a private room. Lusmila will also take you to the plaza and instruct you on how to explore different areas of the island. Lusmila only speaks spanish and Quechua, but she will always try her best to communicate and guide you as much as you can. Don´t feel intimidated if your spanish is limited, she will always try her very best to understand you and help you. In order to arrive from Puno to Amantani, you can take the local route. Upon arrival in Puno, you will need to take a colectivo (shared bus or minivan) to Capachica. There is a terminal around the corner of Av. Costanera and Jr. Lampa, close to the bus terminal in Puno. The bus should cost around S/6 and it takes about an hour. From this terminal, you can take a taxi or mototaxi to Port Chifrón. From this port, you can purchase a local boat ticket for about S/10. Please make sure to take a the boat before 4 pm and if posible, try to take an early morning boat.
