The Forest Camp El Nido was established in year 2019 and underwent significant improvements starting in 2022, following the global pandemic.
The facilities will continue to be upgraded based on the preferences of tourists to adapt to new demands. Future plans aim to transform the camp into a nature park, where both local and international visitors can enjoy breathtaking views while contributing to accelerated ecosystem restoration. The owner's vision is to restore the natural environment, creating a habitat for wildlife and balancing the local ecosystem, especially as the surrounding areas may face urban development in the near future, possibly with high-rise buildings. The camp is set to pioneer a unique approach to forest restoration by planting endemic, fruit-bearing trees and allowing vines to flourish alongside tourists and wildlife. In addition to this, an aesthetically appealing, "Instagrammable" design will be integrated into the site. There are also plans to revive traditional Filipino delicacies, cuisine, and cultural practices, offering guests an immersive experience that celebrates the rich heritage and way of life of the Philippines.
Most of the Chalets are nestled in a picturesque part of the camp, offering panoramic views of the sunset, garden, and the striking islets of El Nido, Palawan. Each chalet comfortably accommodates two adults and one child under 12, with an interior space measuring 11.4 ft by 13 ft. The queen-sized floor bed can be converted into two single beds upon request for added flexibility. Guests can access the toilet and bath in a nearby shared facility. For relaxation, the camp's hangout area provides the perfect spot to enjoy the sunset while sipping fresh coconut juice or beer, both available at the camp.
