Hello Rakaposhi is tucked away in the remote Minapin Valley, part of Nagar District in Gilgit-Baltistan. Our campsite sits at 3,500 metres, right beside the spectacular Minapin Glacier. The neighbourhood is pure wilderness – no shops, no roads, just you, the peaks, and the occasional yak herder. From here, you can hike to Rakaposhi Base Camp (one of the easiest high-altitude treks in the Karakoram), explore the glacier, or simply soak in views of Rakaposhi (7,788m) and Diran (7,266m). The nearest village, Minapin, is a 30-minute walk downhill – it has basic shops and a traditional Hunza-style settlement. The Karakoram Highway is about an hour's drive away, connecting you to Hunza, Gilgit, and beyond. Sunrise and sunset here are nothing short of magical – bring your camera!
